Can we write about a particular instance/place where children are being imprisoned?
Or does it have to be written as a broad topic?

Does “imprisoned children” directly refer to jail/prison? or can it extend to children who are held captive by fathers, etc?
Which would be preferred?

In order to keep the essay contest focused, we have limited it mostly to children who are actually in prison. The seven topics are guided to address literal imprisonment.
