If you look at the winning essays from 2007, all of them are written in first person:

It seems advisable to write in the first person, although either style is eligible to win.

I recently submitted my essay for the 2010 Essay Contest, "Compassion and the Imprisoned Child". I typed the essay in 12 point font as instructed, however it was submitted in 11 point font for reasons I'm not sure of. I would like to know how to remedy this. I would like my essay to be considered, but I am concerned it will be discarded without being viewed for this technical error. Please help.

Is the essay only about children in jail or some form of correctional institute or can it be other porms of imprisonment like human trafficking or sexual trafficking since both are a form of imprisonment?
